The proof is in the soot

Every photo below is from a real job around Cork, taken by Cormac himself: the buildup on one side, a clear flue on the other.

Sealed. Sheeted. Spotless.

The gear does the talking: airtight fireplace seals, wall-to-wall sheets and industrial H-class dust extraction (the highest rating for fine dust) on every single job.

Why bother? Four reasons.

An annual sweep is cheap insurance for your home and everyone in it.

Chimney fires

Built-up soot and tar is fuel sitting in your flue, waiting for a spark.

Carbon monoxide

A blocked flue can push fumes back into the room instead of up and out.

Insurance

Many insurers ask for proof of an annual sweep. The cert covers you.

A better fire

A clean flue draws properly: easier lighting, less smoke, more heat.

CCTV camera view inside a chimney flue

See inside your own chimney

A chimney can look fine from the hearth and still be hiding trouble halfway up. The CCTV inspection sends a camera the whole way, so you know exactly what state the flue is in.

  • Cracked liners and loose joints
  • Bird nests and blockages
  • Tar and creosote build-up
Cormac Sedas power sweeping a chimney

Hi, I'm Cormac

I started Sky Chimney Sweep in September 2025, after years of sweeping my own chimney and the chimneys of relations and elderly neighbours around Ballinhassig. I trained with Rod Technology, got fully insured and registered with the Irish Certified Sweeps, and invested in proper power sweeping and dust extraction gear.

No call centres and no subcontractors. When you ring, you're talking straight to the person who'll be standing at your fireplace. That's how I like it.

Where we work
